Learning, teaching…

After various failed attempts to teach my daughter how to ride a bike, I stumbled upon a low cost bike riding clinic. Was I really going to pay someone else to teach my daughter how to ride a bike? After all, I had taught skiing at Wolf Creek, taught English as a second language, had trained employees and importantly I thought, I knew how to ride a bike.

Well, we went and he took the kids through a gradual progression first taking off their pedals and having them glide, but then in less than an hour he had stepped them through various progressions and it clicked for her and all the others. She was off riding confidently.

When we have a goal in mind and obstacles to overcome, our drive to learn is critical. But so can be the methods we use to help us learn.

I’ve been teaching and training employees, business owners and other clients the in’s and out’s of payroll & HR compliance for years. Mastery of the material is one part, but the course design and ability to convey knowledge is where I’ve placed a lot of energy.

My goal is to help make it click for you.
