I’ve spent more than 25 years helping employers manage payroll, people, and the systems that support both. At ASAP Accounting & Payroll, I worked across payroll tax, payroll and HR operations, technology, and business strategy. I helped grow the company from its Telluride roots into a statewide service provider and helped lead the sale of its payroll and HR business line in 2024.

Today, through Betts Consulting Services, I work directly with owners and leaders facing questions that cross several parts of their organization. A pay issue may involve timekeeping and policy. A new project may require state registrations, insurance information, and workforce reporting. My job is to get into the details, help the right people make a decision, and put a practical process in place.

Recent work has included supporting a specialty contractor with field operations and employer requirements, helping a fire protection district address complex pay and personnel practices, and preparing subcontractor records for a workers’ compensation audit. I work alongside clients’ brokers, plan providers, attorneys, and other advisers when a project calls for their expertise.

I’m based in Telluride, Colorado, and work with organizations across the state and with operations beyond Colorado.
